Family Violence Summit

Recently I was honored to be the key note speaker at the Hawaii County Family Violence Summit. I was able to share my message of hope with community leaders who are working hard to make a difference in the lives of battered women. Those in attendance included State Senators, Judges, prosecuting attorneys, law enforcement officers, faith based organizations, community organizations, social workers, and counselors. Please take 30 minutes of your day to watch this powerful presentation. It has the potential to save lives. I would be very grateful and honored if you share the presentation with others as well. Thank you!

What life looks like with a man who truly loves and is not abusive. Happy birthday Frank!

God keeps his promises! In May of 2012 I was in a safe house for battered women – alone. My abuser had turned my children against me, I wasn’t safe it my own home, I was financially ruined, and no one knew the truth of my situation. This is what my life looks 6 years later because I chose to follow God out of my life of abuse and into freedom. It was so scary and when my abuser took me to court for spousal support for life – and won – it was confusing. God told me then “a thousand dollars a month is going to be a drop in the bucket compared to how I bless you.” He brought a good and true man into my life, restored me to my children, restored my finances, and healed my heart. I put these photos together for my husbands 60th birthday and it is a wonderful testimony to the faithfulness of God.

The Journey

This is the true story of my journey from domestic violence to freedom. The journey is metaphorical but the events that led to me finally escaping my abusive situation are very real. It is told in a powerful and engaging way and the purpose is to help others who are being abused to summons the courage to escape from violence and choose freedom for lives. Especially women of faith. My faith background is rooted in Christianity and unfortunately there are many leaders in the Christian church who are encouraging women to pray harder, have more faith, and stay in an abusive marriage in order to “save the marriage.” This may sound absurd but it is a reality. This film is a rebuttal to that preaching and although it should not be controversial, it is. A second purpose is to help those who have watched someone they love remain in a violent relationship gain understanding. Anyone who is being abused, has been abused, or loves someone who is living in domestic violence will be profoundly moved by this film.

Jennifer Faith

The first in a series of video blogs covering the true story of how a loving God delivered me from a secret life of fear and shame as a battered wife. It is not God’s will for you or your children to be abused. God set me free and he wants to set you free as well. I am praying that this video gives you hope, encouragement and strength. I am believing that the truth will set you free.

God is a restorer: Dream Wedding in Paradise August 17, 2015

After living a secret life of fear and shame as a battered wife for over two decades I was in the “never again club.” On June 21, 2014 the Holy Spirit spoke clearly into my spirit and said “I have a husband for you. He’s a good man. He’s my man.” I was shocked and a bit dismayed as I was not praying for this, and I was very closed to the idea of ever trusting anyone again. Nevertheless, I told my friends and family what the Lord had spoken and I said “not my will but your will be done.” This video is proof that God is faithful, and when he speaks, he acts. The greatest miracle of all is that he has healed me to the point of being able to love and trust again. As usual, God’s plans for us are way better than the plans we have for ourselves. I pray that this video will give someone hope to believe in the promises of God and the faith to trust again.

A New Start

I recently spoke at H2O Community Church. I hope you will be encouraged and blessed as I share about my “new start.” – deliverance from domestic violence and the healing and love that I received from God.

Be BRAVE

I recently spoke to a group of young women at the be BRAVE, the movement launch event. I was asked to speak on what brave meant to me. I hope you gain inspiration and courage as you watch, God bless.
