Recently I was given the opportunity to share my testimony on LA Talk Live with Joy in My House Hosts Jo’El Ramirez and Lolita Coppage. When I arrived at the recording studio I was exhausted and more than a little discouraged. I have been burning the candle at both ends – working full time at my day job, taking care of my family, and seizing every opportunity to spread the message of God’s love and heart towards victims of domestic violence.
The moment I met these two beautiful souls everything changed. My spirit revived and I felt energized and excited as we quickly shared our stories – stories of God’s overwhelming love and deliverance from darkness. Then it hit me – I wasn’t helping anyone when I was living a secret life of fear and shame. I wasn’t helping anyone when I pretended that everything was great. Facing the truth changed my life — and telling the truth is changing the lives of others who need to know that they are not alone.
Towards the end of the interview they asked me what “joy in my house” meant to me. I told them that joy in my house means knowing how it feels to finally walk in the light after walking in darkness for so long. It is my sincere desire and prayer that you will choose light over darkness. I pray that the interview will fill you will hope, courage, and strength. You are not alone. God is on your side and you are loved. Please click the link below to access the interview.
